Apologies are due for the lateness of this post, this is partly due to my own forgetfulness and the Council being a tad slow at making the documents available on the website (from which I post links to).
That said, any interested takers for this post will note that the meeting will be conducted in one of the conference rooms at the Manor Hospital itself. This is part of my aspiration to try and take meeting into the community and to work closer with stakeholders.
Readers may be aware of previous reports around mortality rates at the hospital and minutes form the last meeting reflect my request to receive a report from commissioners on their efforts to understand what his happening and how they are dealing with the issues. This report is amongst those considered at today’s meeting and is listed below.
Finally, I have was asked to provide my feedback on the merger of Wharf medical practice a couple of weeks ago. I felt this was a matter for the whole committee and for local Councillors to provide their own feedback, rather than myself as chairman of the Scrutiny committee; this is why the report is part of the agenda and why stakeholders in this decision have been invited to contribute today.
